Boston College baseball moves in to national top 25

COLLEGE BASEBALL: APR 22 NC State at Boston College

Boston College baseball’s hot start has garnered national attention.

For the first time since the end-of-season rankings in 2016 after BC’s run to the NCAA Super Regionals, Boston College baseball is ranked in this week’s national polls.

BC is #18 in this week’s Baseball America top 25, and #22 in D1Baseball.com’s rankings.

In their write-up on BC in the rankings, Baseball America writes:

As if winning the series weren’t enough, it speaks highly of BC’s potential that the only game it lost to Duke was the game started by ace Mason Pelio. That probably won’t happen all too often moving forward as Pelio rounds into form.

The Eagles are one of seven ACC teams in this week’s top 25. One team that dropped out of the rankings is BC’s next opponent, Wake Forest, who dropped from the top 25 after a 3-4 start.

BC travels to Wake for a three-game set starting next Friday at 4 PM.
