Update 2/10/2021: Boston College’s Valentine’s Day matchup against Virginia Tech has been postponed. The Eagles remain in COVID protocol.
Boston College and the ACC announced today that BC women’s basketball’s next 2 games have been postponed due to a positive COVID test and subsequent quarantining within the Eagles’ program. The Eagles were scheduled to play at Clemson this Sunday (February 7) and at UNC this Thursday (February 11).
It was also announced that the February 16 game, originally set to be played at Pitt, will now take place at Conte Forum (assuming it is played at all).
The Eagles just returned to action this past Thursday with a loss against Louisville. BC’s previous 3 games had been postponed due to COVID quarantining within the program, and a trio of BC players missed Thursday’s game as they had just exited quarantine.
The Eagles have 5 games remaining in the season, not counting these two new postponements, and are currently 5-8 with just a single ACC win.
The BC men’s basketball program has also been dealing with COVID protocol recently, missing 4 games in late January due to quarantining on their own squad as well as their first scheduled game this month due to a positive test at FSU. The men returned to the court today with a loss to NC State.
We wish a speedy and easy recovery to all players/personnel affected!
