Former Boston College football commit Trevin Wallace, a linebacker out of Jesup, Georiga, announced his commitment today to Kentucky, according to Andy Backstrom of Rivals/EagleAction.
Wallace, a 4-star-rated linebacker, had decommitted from BC back in November when SEC interest popped up, with four or more SEC programs expressing interest.
You can obviously look at this one of two ways - on the bright side, BC is in the conversation for talent that is getting looks from SEC programs. On the down side, BC lost one of the gems of its class and Kentucky is not exactly Auburn or Alabama.
Even with the loss of Wallace, BC has a total of 26 recruits either enrolled or signed to LOIs for 2021, with the Eagles’ class ranked 8th in the ACC and 35th in the nation according to 24/7 Sports, and 37th in the nation according to ESPN.
Stay tuned for updates as Jeff Hafley puts the finishing touches on his first full-year recruiting class.
