After three seasons on the Heights, Eagles starting running back David Bailey is entering the transfer portal. The Maryland native took the reins full time for AJ Dillon this past season, the first for Jeff Hafley and a new look offense.

After shining in 2019 as part of a one-two punch, Bailey and the run game in general had more difficulties adjusting to the new scheme and finding footing. Bailey’s yards per carry fell from 5.7 to 4, ending with nearly 400 fewer yards from scrimmage compared to a near-1000 yard sophomore season. He was top-10 ACC across multiple categories in 2019.

The rising senior likely ends his BC career with a total of 1,600 yards rushing and 18 total touchdowns in 28 games. Pat Garwo will look to take another step up for the Eagles alongside Travis Levy of course.

Best of luck to David moving forward!
