This season, BC only has 1 junior on the roster: Jaelyn Batts, a 6’0 guard/forward. Batts played in 19 games last season, and started 1. She averaged 20 minutes of playing time per game, a number which could go up or down depending on how she’s developed her game and how much work she’s put in in the weight room.
Batts averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game last season, just about doubling her totals from her freshman year. She recorded 19 steals and 6 blocks last season, and she could make a big defensive impact if she can continue to improve on those numbers. Her height and long arms also could set her up to be a top rebounder for the Eagles - she was 5th on the team with 54 board last season.
Batts recorded a career high 15 points and 8 rebounds against UMass Lowell last year, as well as grabbing 5 steals.
