After coming off a crushing loss against Colorado College last Friday night, the Eagles cruised to a 5-1 win against the #8 Denver Pioneers on Saturday night in their best effort so far this season. This upcoming weekend, BC will be traveling up to UVM for a two game series against the Catamounts.

WHO:

#10/13 Boston College Eagles (3-2-1) vs Vermont Catamounts (0-4-0)

WHERE:

Gutterson Fieldhouse, Burlington, VT

WHEN:

Friday, October 29 and Saturday, October 30 at 7:00 PM

HOW TO WATCH:

The game will be on College Sports Live.

SO, WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH UVM:

Last season, UVM went 1-10-2, finishing at the bottom of the Hockey East/HEPI standings. This year, the Catamounts are 0-4 to start the season, but won their exhibition game against Mercyhurst.

In the weirdness of last year’s schedule, BC and UVM actually did not meet during the regular season. The last time they met during the 2019-20 season, the Eagles swept UVM, winning 5-1 and 3-0.

KEY BC PLAYER TO WATCH:

So many Eagles had a really good game against Denver last weekend! I’m going to go with Nikita Nesterenko for this series, because he had a really good showing against CC and Denver.

PREDICTIONS:

I just want to take a moment to acknowledge that I was pretty low on BC last Friday after the Colorado College loss and predicted a Denver win — and I am SO glad they proved me wrong!

Give me a BC sweep this weekend, 5-1 and 4-2.

ICE CREAM OF THE GAME:

Ben & Jerry’s mint chocolate cookie, but for a different reason: I enjoy mint chocolate cookie ice cream, and I am hoping to enjoy this series.
