Yesterday afternoon, Boston College football found thesmelves once again at the wrong end of the score, dropping a messy game against Louisville, 28-14. There were issues all over the field, from the offense’s struggles to score and the defense’s struggle to contain Malik Cunningham.

One bright spot, however, was the play of DB Jaiden Woodbey. Woodbey had both an INT and a fumble recovery in a valiant effort to stop the Cardinals from driving and put the ball back in the Eagles hands. BC’s offense wasn’t able to capitalize on the INT, as Dennis Grosel threw an interception of his own shortly after and gave the ball back to Louisville. But the fumble recovery at least was helpful, as it helped the Eagles narrow the score to 21-14 in the 4th quarter with over 6 minutes on the clock. Of course it didn’t matter, as Louisville eventually scored themselves and BC was shut out the rest of the way.

Still, Woodbey’s effort should be applauded, as he had a great game in coverage and made multiple plays that put the Eagles in good positions to win.
