Name: Justin Wells

Position: Defenseman

Year: Graduate Student

Number: #8

Height: 6’4

Hometown: North Canton, Ohio

Previous Stats: Wells is a graduate transfer from Bowling Green, where he played 133 games, scoring 21 points on four goals and 17 assists. In his senior season, he recorded a career high nine points on two goals and 7 assists. He also blocked the most shots on the team with 24 in the season.

Season Outlook: Wells will likely play the role of a stay at home defenseman on a pretty solid defensive unit this year. I could see him potentially on the third pairing if the first two pairings stay the exact same as last year, and it’s likely he will be able to eat minutes on the PK given how willing he is to block shots.

Fun Fact: His dad played for Coach York — at Bowling Green!
