The Boston College men’s basketball team dropped to 2-8 today after blowing an 8 point lead heading into the second half. While BC led by as much as 16 points during tonight’s game and held the lead for 69% of the game, the Eagles ultimately lost by just 1 point with a final score of 83-82.
The Eagles shot an impressive 96.2% on field goals and 71.4% of 3s in the first half, only to fall to 45.2% and 44.4% in the second. The Eagles also had 12 turnovers and 11 fouls just in the second half alone.
CJ Felder really popped off for the Eagles in the second half, ending the game with 24 total points, but his effort wasn’t enough to keep BC in the lead.
Meanwhile, Wendell Moore Jr. and Matthew Hurt were the biggest factor in Duke’s win, with Moore leading all players with 25 points and Hurt grabbing a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
That’s all I’ve got. BC lost again, it’s been a long day, losing by a single point after leading for the majority of the game is not ideal.
