The future is indeed bright. That’s how Jeff Hafley described the newest Eagle commit. The Eagles landed a commitment from a major quarterback prospect in Peter Delaportas. The 2022 (!) Jersey native is a four-star pro-style quarterback prospect. He is a top five recruit in the state and a highly rated pro-style quarterback nationally. He’s 6-4, 205 pounds and attends Pope John XXIII, and is also a very good wrestler, making the state championships as only a sophomore. Delaportas already has a great frame and is an excellent athlete, and we’ll be sure to follow him the remainder of high school career to see how he continues to progress.
Proud and excited to announce my commitment to Boston College , cant wait for the next 2 years and then on to Chestnut Hill @BCFootball @JoeSuIlivan @CoachJeffHafley pic.twitter.com/1g6OMdkV5Z

Delaportas had additional offers from Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Pitt, West Virginia, and more to come I’m sure.
Welcome to the Heights, Peter!
