With the Pac-12 shuttering for the season, Luc Bequette looks to be taking his talents to Chestnut Hill, per SI Cal’s Jeff Faraudo. The graduate transfer will be immediately eligible assuming all things are a go in the ACC.
A three year starter, Bequette amassed 130 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and four forced fumbles. The 6-2, 290 pound Arkansas native filled in at nose tackle last season because of team need, showing his versatility. He was initially granted this sixth year of eligibility after getting a year back for a 2016 redshirt freshman season during which he was injured after four games. Bequette twice earned Cal’s school award for best defensive lineman, and once for top lineman overall his junior year. His father is a former Arkansas lineman and his mother won a bronze medal for figure skating in the 1988 Olympic Games. This is an athletic family, and Bequette is an excellent addition with valuable experience for Vince Oghobaase’s line.
Welcome to the Heights, Luc!
