In a sea of bad COVID-19 news, Boston College fans can take solace in some (finally) good news.
Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic reported Saturday that 154 COVID-19 tests were administered to Boston College football players and staff. Of those 154 tests, all 154 tests came back negative.
A total of 154 Boston College football players and staff received COVID-19 testing on Friday, July 31, per school.

All 154 individuals tested negative.
This news should be taken with some caution. We still have a long way to go to play a full season in the age of COVID-19, and the risks of playing, relative to the risk now for players, will only go up.
With that said, this is wonderful news, not only for the obvious reason that having less COVID-19 infections is far superior to having one or more, but that the Eagles will be entering training camp with a really good COVID baseline. Whether BC is able to maintain its strong numbers with the precautions it has put in place remains to be seen, but this is absolutely wonderful news to hear.
