What an electric past few days for the Hafley administration. Shawn Gates out of Akron, Ohio committed to Boston College. The junior corner is a three-star prospect per 247sports. An All-Conference defensive back, Gates announced his decision, Gates is also rated the 32nd ranked prospect in the class.

Gates has good size as a 6-0, 178 pound prospect. He chose the Eagles over the likes of Iowa State, Michigan State, among others. He is already the fourth defensive back to choose to learn from the maestro, Jeff Hafley.
