Next up in our series of profiles is a candidate from a familiar school, Diana Sabau.
Diana Sabau is currently the Deputy Director at Ohio State, the same school that Martin Jarmond was working at before coming to BC. At Ohio State, Sabau is an administrator for the school’s football team and also oversees a number of the university’s other programs, including a women’s hockey team that has won at least 20 games in each of the past three seasons, thanks largely to the hiring of head coach Nadine Muzerall that Sabau oversaw.
Sabau is also in charge of the departments for creative services, fan experience and promotions, marketing, social media and video services, as well as chairing the revenue generation council for the Department of Athletics.
Sabau has been at her current position with Ohio State since 2017, but has also served on other committees in that time. She worked for six years on the Columbus Local Organizing Committee, and was part of the team that planned the 2018 Women’s Final Four, an event that sold out while she was overseeing ticket sales.
Sabau has an MSA from Ohio University and a BA from St. Bonaventure University, in addition to attending both Oxford University and Somerville College.
