Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel reports that current Boston College athletic director is UCLA’s “top target” in its search for a new athletic director.
Sources: BC athletic director Martin Jarmond is UCLA's top target for the AD job. The sides have been in discussion, but there's items to still work out. BC has made a push to keep Jarmond, who has been well-regarded in his three years there.

The story, now, has taken a turn. It was one thing for Jarmond to merely be in consideration, it’s quite another to have Jarmond has a top choice.
Thamel does report that there are still things to work out, and that BC is also going to try to keep Jarmond at the Heights. It’s unclear how far along the negotiations are other than to say Jarmond is the front-runner. We could still be in a position where there is a lot of work to be done to get Jarmond to go to UCLA, or we could also be at the point where there are just some formalities to take care of before Jarmond makes the trip out west.
In any event, this is obviously a story we’re paying close attention to.
