The Boston College Eagles will have one more player from the 2020 NFL Draft Class on an NFL roster. Jake Burt, a former tight end with Boston College, signed with the New England Patriots Sunday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to report.
Boston College TE Jake Burt, an undrafted free agent, is signing with the New England Patriots and is receiving $80,000 guaranteed to do it, one of the larger guarantees for undrafted TEs, per source.

Burt was given an $80,000 guarantee, toward the higher end of the spectrum for undrafted tight ends. While nothing is certain, the fact that the Patriots are investing above market for Burt is encouraging.
Burt was a multi-tool tight end at BC. While Burt possesses an ability to catch passes when called upon, Burt is also a prolific blocker. This will serve him well in the NFL.
Good luck Jake!
