Long has been one of the best playmakers BC has seen in a long time. This season, the redshirt junior led all tight ends in the country in both receptions and yards. He emerged last season, catching 28 passes and a team-leading 509 receiving yards. He went on to double his reception total and ended with 685 yards in 2020. His five touchdowns have him finish eighth nationally as well. Long was recently named a semi-finalist for the Mackey Award, given annually to the nation’s top tight end.
The New Hampshire native will end his college career second among BC tight ends, behind Pete Mitchell, for single season receptions. He leaves the Chestnut Hill with 89 receptions, 1,297 yards, and nine touchdowns. He projects to be one of the top tight ends taken in the draft.
Best of luck, Hunter!
