Game Preview
The Orange are returning 4/5 starters from last year, but they did lose their most productive player, guard Elijah Hughes, to the NBA draft. Hughes led the ACC in scoring last year and it will be interesting to see if Syracuse can make up that hole in their offensive production. On the defensive side, coach Jim Boeheim’s famous 2-3 zone approach was not nearly as effective as it has been in years past, as the Orange finished a paltry 116th in defensive efficiency last season. This Syracuse team is beatable, but Jim Christian will have to come up with a consistent game-plan to do it.
