In what is now likely their only game of the week due to COVID cancellations, the Boston College men’s basketball team will end November with a matchup against St. John’s in Connecticut. This game is a mess before it even begins - BC and St. John’s list it as starting at 6 PM and airing on ESPNU, while the Boston Globe lists it as starting at 9 PM and airing on FS1. Fun! (Listen to BC here, obviously.)
These former Big East rivals haven’t faced off since 2008. The Red Storm hold a 27-45 series advantage, but the Eagles have won the last 7 meetings between the two teams. The Red Storm started their 2020 season by winning the Lapchick Tournament with victories over Saint Peter’s and La Salle, while BC had a tougher start to the year, losing to #3 Villanova and then defeating Rhode Island. Of course, BC lost to a stellar Villanova team by just 9 points but then only beat URI by 5 points, so who knows what will happen tonight?
