The Boston College women’s basketball team returns to action today, coming back to the court after COVID heartbreakingly ended their post seasons dreams last year.
The Eagles have lost a solid trio of players in Emma Guy, Taylor Soule, and Georgia Pineau, along with Milan Bolden-Morris, who transferred to Georgetown. However, this year’s freshman class and the addition of Akunna Konkwo, who is back from injury, should help to make up for those losses.
Today’s matchup should be a pretty easy one for BC, even as a somewhat young team. UNH is historically not the strongest competitor, and the Eagles are on the rise. If Taylor Soule comes out with the same scoring and rebounding impact she was having last season, she alone should be able to make a huge dent in UNH’s defense. This should be a good opportunity for the 3 BC freshmen to get some experience and playing time and for Konkwo to really show fans what she’s got.
