For the second game in a row, the Boston College women’s soccer team lost a match 2-0, falling to Louisville today after losing the season opener to Notre Dame. BC is now 0-2 on the season. They’ll look to turn things around on Thursday night at Pitt.

Next week’s game against Pitt will be a challenge for the Eagles, as the Panthers have played 7 games already this season thanks to a number of non-conference matchups that BC doesn’t have in this COVID-19 impacted year.

As for today, Louisville scored once each half, picking up a goal at 14:29 and adding the insurance goal at 54:17. Shots were fairly even for both teams, with the Cardinals having just a slight 10-9 edge. However, none of BC’s 9 shots were on net. BC’s goalkeeper Allie Augur made 2 saves for the Eagles in today’s match.

After winning just 1 conference game last season, hopefully the Eagles are able to show some improvement this year, Coach Lowe’s second at the helm.
