The Boston College women’s volleyball team dropped their sixth straight match to start their season and second straight to Syracuse on Saturday, losing 3-0 for the second straight day to their ACC foe. After pushing Syracuse in some challenging sets in Friday’s match, the Eagles had a tougher time on Saturday, getting soundly beat in two of the three sets that they played.
BC dropped the first two sets 25-12 and 25-9 respectively before putting giving Syracuse a challenge in the third and final set before falling 25-20. The Eagles lost all six sets on the weekend in their two matches and fell to 0-6 on the season, a tough start after a 2019 season that saw them go 20-12 overall and 11-7 in ACC play.
The Eagles will return home next weekend to take on Notre Dame in the final two games of their fall schedule. BC lost to Notre Dame in a close match last season and will look to take at least one of the Friday/Saturday matches to grab a win before the season ends.
