Last week was a bummer.
But this week is a new week, and the Boston College Eagles have a huge game before Beanpot Monday. After splitting two games against UMass a few weeks ago, the Eagles will travel to Amherst to take on UMass for a game with significant America East Hockey East implications.
Let’s break it down
Breaking Down the Minutemen
- Scoring on the power play: We keep coming back to this fact, but these are two very, very good teams at even strength. The Eagles found some daylight in the second game of the two game series because they were able to convert on the power play, something the Eagles weren’t able to do on Friday night. Don’t be surprised if this game comes down to the power play again.
- Team effort: The Eagles also succeeded in the Saturday game because scoring was distributed well and everyone contributed (including one Matthew Boldy). The Eagles are going to need a strong total team effort again in a hostile environment.
- …but also: It’d be great if the top line (averaging 1.266 points per person) had a strong night.
Random, Possibly Incorrect Fact from UMass’ Wikipedia Page:
UMass started a school for Information and Computer Sciences in 2015.

Mill Creek Brewing Company
This is made at a brewery outside of Nashville. Highly recommend. Highly drinkable.
Predictions
This’ll be a tie. 3-3 to be exact.
