Hobey Baker Award watch season has begun with the announcements of nominations for the award, and Boston College is represented in the nomination pool. Goaltender Spencer Knight and forward David Cotton both were nominated for the award, the committee announced Thursday afternoon.
Knight, after a hiccup early in the season, has been a stalwart for the Eagles in net, and has quickly turned into one of the best goaltenders in the nation. Knight is sixth in the country in save percentage at .937. Knight has been a big part of the Eagles’ success this season.
Cotton has been a solid contributor for the Eagles as well. While not carrying the offensive load in the same way as last year, he has been an offensive threat on the ice. Cotton sits tied for thirteenth place in the country in points with 25.
