After dropping two games in conference, the Boston College Eagles got back on track Tuesday evening against Massachusetts, downing the Minutemen 1-0 at the Newton Campus Lacrosse & Soccer Field.
The only goal for the Eagles came early in the second half. Joe Kellett scored a penalty kick goal in the 48th minute, giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead that the Eagles held for the whole game on his only shot of the night.
Christian Gamer got the clean sheet during his second career start, getting three saves on the night.
The Eagles travel to Blacksburg, Va. Friday to take on Virginia Tech in a nationally televised* game against Virginia Tech on the ACC Network. The Eagles will then return to the Heights to play Merrimack on Oct. 1 to begin a four game home stand.
