Meet the Eagles, Boston College Men’s Hockey: Patrick Giles

The USNTDP alum is a sophomore this season

Boston College Athletics

Name: Patrick Giles

Number: 24

Position: Forward

Class Year: Sophomore

Drafted: N/A

Background: Before BC, Giles, along with many other Eagles, played for the U.S. National Team Development Program, where they brought home the silver in 2018. He had a fairly quiet season there, mostly playing on the fourth line. This style of play carried over to BC, where his first and only collegiate goal in 37 games was scored during the first round of the Beanpot again Harvard. He collected five more points with assists.

2019-20 Outlook: Clearly Giles is a talented forward who can play under pressure and it would be surprising if he didn’t tally more goals for the Eagles this season. Perhaps he can take a leadership role as a center for some of the incoming freshmen, and will likely move around between the third and fourth line.

Fun Fact: His mom graduated from BC in ’88!
