The Boston College volleyball team picked up a thrilling 3-2 victory last night in a midweek match at Harvard. Yesterday’s win snapped a 4 game losing streak against the Crimson. The Eagles, who have improved significantly under second year head coach Jason Kennedy, are now 7-3 on the season as the head to Rhode Island for the Rhode Island Challenge.
Harvard won the 1st set of last night’s match, dominating the Eagles to earn a 25-15 victory. However, BC came back to win sets 2 and 3 by dominant scores of 25-12 and 25-17. The Crimson came back to win the 4th set by a close 25-13 score to keep themselves in the game, but the Eagles snuck out a 20-18 victory in the final set to clinch the game.
Sophomore Jewel Strawberry was the star of the game, leading all players in kills (16) and digs (16) for her 4th double-double of the season. Senior Carly Kutschke also had a strong game, recording a career high 5 blocks.
