Five Star Basketball Prospect Terrence Clarke Commits to Kentucky, Eschews Boston College

A five star basketball recruit, Terrence Clarke, a recruit out of Boston, announced his commitment to Kentucky Saturday afternoon in Roxbury. Clarke had listed Boston College in his top five (in fact it was rumored that BC was in his final two) recently, but ultimately decided to go to Kentucky.

This decision is very much a mixed bag. On the one hand, it’s encouraging to see a top recruit like Clarke viewing BC in a similar light to the likes of Kentucky and Duke, and the fact that the Eagles were in the final conversation is encouraging. On the other hand, it’s still frustrating for BC to miss out on a local prospect like Clarke.

Four star recruit. and Brewster Academy teammate, Demarr Langford, also recently listed BC in his top three, though prognosticators give the Eagles a better chance of landing Langford than Clarke. We’ll certainly see in the upcoming days.
