Boston College Men’s Basketball Announces 2019-2020 Nonconference Schedule

Anybody up for a road trip?

The Boston College Men’s Basketball team announced its non-conference slate yesterday, with a number of exciting match ups at home in Conte Forum and across the country.

The Eagles actually start with a conference game due to the new 20 game conference schedule, hosting Wake Forest on November 6 to tip off the season. Then, just a few days later on November 10, BC will head south to take on USF on November 10.

Boston College will then return home to host five consecutive home games. The first three will be part of the Gotham Classic, facing off against High Point, 2018 NCAA tournament darlings Belmont, and Eastern Washington on November 13, 16, and 20 respectively. The tournament is followed by a visit from De Paul on the 23rd to finish off a home and home that began last year. The Gotham Classic resumes with a matchup between Saint Louis and Boston College when the two Jesuit schools clash on November 27.

The Eagles then finish November with a trip to Richmond on the 30th.

This year’s ACC/Big10 challenge foe will be Northwestern, this time in Boston. BC won last year’s challenge game against Minnesota in one of their better victories of the year. December continues with two games against Albany and Central Connecticut in games that should be simple wins, but those games have proven to be far more challenging in previous years than they should be.

The highlight of the schedule, however, is the inaugural Al Attles Classic at the Golden State Warriors new arena, the Chase Center. The Eagles will travel out to the west to play Cal on December 21 (a game I am particularly excited about), and if you are a west coast alumni I really suggest making the trip.

So mark your calendars and get ready for another year of BC basketball, along with every high and low that it inevitably entails.
