Earlier today 6’0” guard Jojo Lacey committed to Boston College, announcing her decision on Twitter. Lacey is a 4 Star recruit per ESPN and is ranked #71 in her class. MaxPreps lists her as the #3 Pennsylvania recruit in the 2020 class.
Lacey, who plays for Westtown High School in Pennsylvania, averaged 12.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game as a junior. She is a quick player with a lot of hustle, and is seen by many as someone who will continue to improve greatly through he senior year and her 4 years in college. Per Blue Star she is an “athletic guard with versatility in the back court” who “manufactures shots, rises on jumper in mid-range game and delivers in traffic” and “pressures the defense and creates contact”.
Lacey is the second player to commit to BC’s women’s basketball program for 2020-21 - Maryland guard Kaylah Ivey announced her commitment on Monday.
