This evening, Kaylah Ivey announced her commitment to Boston College on Twitter. Ivey is a 5’8” guard at Riverdale Baptist in Maryland, where she just finished up her junior year. A 3 star recruit per ESPN, Ivey scored 537 points this season, with her scoring spread pretty evenly between 3 pointers, 2 point field goals, and free throws. She averaged 13.8 points per game as a junior, leading her team in scoring.
MaxPreps has Ivey listed as the 7th best guard in Maryland in the 2020 class and has her ranked 56th nationally in her position. ESPN scouting reports describe Ivey as a physical, athletic guard who is a strong dribbler and is adept at finishing plays. Meanwhile, Ivey’s high school coach says that Ivey “sees the floor better than any other girls guard he’s ever seen”
Ivey is Boston College women’s basketball’s first announced commit for the 2020-21 season.
