Leaving spring camp, the Boston College Eagles had two rather unproven kickers for the upcoming season, John Tessitore and Danny Longman. The Eagles will now have another option.
Former Temple football player Aaron Boumerhi announced his commitment to play Boston College football via Twitter Wednesday afternoon. Boumerhi has two years of eligibility left.
The last year has had its ups and downs, but I’m blessed to be where I am and beyond excited to announce for my last 2 years of eligibility I’ll be attending Boston College! #DecideToFly @Booof38 @CoachRickyBrown @BCFootball @JonGoodman_ pic.twitter.com/5LrBmlZC20

Boumerhi comes in with tremendous upside. Boumerhi is a kicker with some range (his career long is 52 yards) and he averaged 59.6 yards per kickoff during his three years at Temple. However, Boumerhi is coming off season-ending hip surgery that derailed his 2018 campaign.
With that said, Boumerhi will likely have the inside track on the starting job, with some bonafide kicking experience under his belt.
Welcome to the Heights!
