BC Football Recruiting: Eagles Land Commitment From WR Taji Johnson and WR Luke Floriea

Two More For The Class of 2020

Boston College Helmet

The Boston College Eagles football team had a busy weekend as they landed two more recruits for the upcoming class of 2020. The first commit was Taji Johnson a 6’3 wide receiver from Marietta, Georgia:

Johnson a tall receiver at 6’3 (who yes committed to #BCU), held offers from Oregon, Syracuse Orange, and a long list of MAC schools including Buffalo Buffalo, Akron and Central Michigan. The 3* receiver, capped off his exciting weekend by grabbing 7 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns in his high school’s spring game. BC has been in need of big receivers who can go up and get the ball, and Johnson could be that answer.

The second recruit BC landed was another receiver, Luke Floriea out of Mentor, Ohio. A smaller wide out at 5’11, Floriea held offers from UMass, and a host of MAC schools. Unlike Johnson the 2* wide out probably projects to be more of a slot receiver. He’s a bit on the smaller side now, but if adds some weight he could fit in fine with this offense.

Florie

a and Johnson are the 2nd and 3rd wide outs to commit to the Eagles, joining Seth Jones who committed earlier in the process.

In other recruiting news BC did miss on a few big name targets over the past week. Zak Zinter, a huge local offensive lineman committed to Michigan Wolverines, while Shane Illingsworth a four star quarterback from California committed to Oklahoma State, Both held BC offers.

You can check out the HUDL film for both Floreia and Johnson. Welcome to the Heights guys!
