The ACC will be adding a new bowl to their lineup as Brett McMurphy is reporting that there will be a local bowl held at Fenway Park starting in 2020:
ACC & American will play in new bowl game at Boston’s Fenway Park starting in 2020, sources told @Stadium. Addition of Boston bowl will mean 43 bowls in 2020 so 65% of all college football teams will go bowling https://t.co/xM94Pq2QRh

This bowl, the 43rd bowl, seemed to be inevitable after the Yankees started their Pinstripe Bowl. It will be nice to have a local bowl, though the whole Fenway Park as a venue thing seems to be a bit overdone between the concerts, the football series every year, the rugby, whatever this is, and soccer games. And the weather will be a bit different than the other bowls. But on the other hand having a local game in Boston will be great for the region, showcasing teams like BC, Pitt, Syracuse, and Temple. And for BC fans, especially those who don’t/can’t travel around the holidays, this bowl will be in their backyard.
The date of the actual game itself has not been released.
What do you think? Is this a good thing?
