By virtue of being the No. 1 seed, the Boston College Eagles were able to take care of business earlier in the day Wednesday, instead of having to wait until later.
In the first round of the ACC Tournament, the Eagles took down the Louisville Cardinals 15-4 in the 11 game of the first day of competition.
Jordan Lappin and Cara Urbank led the way for the Eagles, tallying three goals each in the effort. Sheila Rietano also had two goals and two assists in the Eagles’ effort.
Abbey Ngai also had a game to remember, posting a .765 save percentage, with 13 saves on 17 shots, holding Louisville to only four goals on the day.
Kenzie Kent was a healthy scratch in Wednesday’s game.
BC now awaits the winner of Syracuse/Virginia, which will be played at 2 PM. That game will be played Friday at 5 PM at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
