The Eagles began their week with a non-conference clash against UMass in Amherst. Senior Kendra Friedt shut down the UMass attack, holding them scoreless in 2.1 innings of work. Emme Martinez, Kennedy Labshere, and Carly Severini all had multiple hits as the Eagles put up 11 hits in the 6-2 win.
On the weekend, the Eagles got swept by the #3 Florida State Seminoles, failing to put any runs across the plate in any of the games. Susannah Anderson pitched on Friday night, only allowing three earned runs across five innings of work, but the Eagles only mustered four hits on the game.
In games two and three, Anderson started game two, but got hit around a little bit and took her second loss in as many days as the Eagles were only able to muster three hits behind her. Camryn Dolby started game three, but only went one inning as she took the loss in the series finale.
The Eagles will face Holy Cross and Central Connecticut State this week before a weekend series with Virginia Tech.
