Boston College Women’s Lacrosse Stays Undefeated With Victory Over Yale

The Eagles are 16-0 with one game remaining in the regular season

With just one game remaining in the regular season, the Boston College women’s lacrosse team is on track to have their second undefeated season in a row. The Eagles, who defeated Yale by a score of 15-10 yesterday, are now 16-0. BC’s final regular season game will be played at home this Saturday against Louisville.

The Eagles secured victory against the Bulldogs thanks to 10 unanswered goals split between the late first half and early second half, despite back and forth play to start the game and a late Yale surge in the second. Boston College standout Kenzie Kent now has a BC record 57 assists this season, and Sam Apuzzo scored her NCAA-leading 70th goal in today’s game.

BC had a trio of players with hat tricks against Yale, with Kent, Dempsey Arsenault, and Cara Urbank each picking up three goals. Taylor Walker added a pair to BC’s scoring, and Apuzzo, Jordan Lappin, Maggie Casey, and Kate Taylor each scored a goal apiece.

Outside of offense, senior defender Christina Walsh had a particularly strong game for the Eagles with a game leading 4 ground balls and 5 caused turnovers. Abbey Ngai earned her 12 win as starting goaltender, while Lauren Daly made 1 save after coming into the game late.
