Dempsey Arsenault led the Eagles with a career high 7 goals

The Boston College women’s lacrosse team will stay undefeated after earning an impressive 22-17 victory over #5 Northwestern. Things stayed close through much of the game, with BC taking a 9-8 lead into halftime and both teams trading goals to begin the second, but a 3 goal run 10 minutes into the second was enough give BC the padding they needed to win.

The Eagles were pretty statistically dominant in tonight’s game with 32 SOG to Northwestern’s 21, 18 ground balls to Northwestern’s 10, and 25 draw control wins out of 39.

Dempsey Arsenault was the leading offensive force in tonight’s game, scoring a career high 7 goals on just 8 SOG. Kenzie Kent was also a huge factor for BC tonight with a game-leading 9 points (5 goals and 4 assists), and Taylor Walker and Cara Urbank each recorded hat tricks for the Eagles. Sam Apuzzo was heavily guarded all night, but still managed to pick up a pair of goals for BC and Sheila Rietano and Jordan Lappin each scored once to round out the goal-scoring. Apuzzo also won 12 draw controls for the Eagles.

The Eagles return home next Saturday to face #21 Georgetown at noon over on Newton Campus.
