JD Dudek Signs With Binghamton Devils

Dudek has signed an ATO with the AHL squad

NCAA Football: Notre Dame at Boston College Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

Boston College men’s hockey senior JD Dudek has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Binghamton Devils, New Jersey’s AHL affiliate. Dudek, who has scored 7 goals in each of his past 2 seasons with BC, is the last of BC’s senior skaters to sign an ATO.

Dudek will be the only Eagle on Binghamton (whose GM is Tom Fitzgerald, father of BC’s Fitzgerald brothers), but there are a number of former Eagles on the Devils NHL roster: Steve Santini, Cory Schneider, and Miles Wood.

Dudek was originally a Devils draft pick - he was chosen 152nd overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft - but his rights were traded to Edmonton last year in the trade for Patrick Maroon. So the Oilers didn’t get much out of that trade in the end...

Congrats to Dudek on his signing!
