The Pittsburgh Penguins AHL affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, have signed Boston College seniors Michael Kim and Christopher Brown to amateur tryout agreements, which will last the remainder of the AHL Penguins’ season.

Brown and Kim have both been solid 4 year players for the Eagles, always putting in 100% on the ice and stepping into leadership roles early. The two-year captains should both succeed in the AHL, where grit is prized. Brown recorded 16 points this season, and consistently put up fairly equal goals and assists numbers for the Eagles. Like his older brother Patrick, Christopher was always strong on the penalty kill for the Eagles. Kim, a strong defenseman with a hard shot, had 15 points for BC this season after a pair of 20+ point seasons as a sophomore and junior.

Brown and Kim will join fellow BC alumni Jimmy Hayes and John Muse on the WBS Penguins. Kim is set to wear #8 for the Penguins, and Brown will wear #26
