Following a scary moment last night where he appeared to hit his head against the ice and left the rink on a stretcher, Logan Hustko is reportedly doing well. Per Boston College head coach Jerry York, who spoke to his condition last night, Hutsko was moving his extremities after leaving the ice and was taken to MGH for scans.
Hutsko, who overcame a serious neck injury before coming to BC, reportedly remains at the hospital as a cautionary measure, but all tests have come back negative. Hutsko also missed a trio of games earlier this season due to a concussion. Understandably, doctors and coaching staff are proceeding with caution considering Hutsko’s history, but by all accounts he is doing as well as could be hoped for following such a hard collision.
Boston College plans to release a statement updating fans on Hutsko’s condition tomorrow.
When it comes down to it, what really matters is the happiness and well-being of the student athletes. Our thoughts remain with Hutsko as he recovers!
