BC opened the ACC portion of its schedule by traveling to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to take on the Tar Heels.
In game one, Emme Martinez went yard for her second home run of the season, but it was the only hit the Eagles could muster on the day in a 9-1 loss. Susannah Anderson started and took the loss, giving up three runs over only two innings before Camryn Dolby came on in relief.
In game two, Anderson got the start again and this time lasted the whole game, giving up two earned runs over six innings, and allowing only six hits the entire game. Jenna Ergle, Lexi DiEmmanuele, Kennedy Labshere, and Martinez had the only four hits for the Eagles.
For the second time in three games, the Eagles were one hit by the Tar Heels, with DiEmmanuele had the lone base knock, but the Eagles pitching was unable to corral the UNC offense, giving up three runs in each the third and the fourth innings in an 8-0 loss.
The Eagles will host Quinnipiac, Providence, and Clemson this week in Chestnut Hill as they look to rebound from a winless week.
