The Boston College women’s lacrosse team improved to 9-0 today with a 21-11 victory over #21 Georgetown. BC jumped to an early 9-0 lead and Georgetown couldn’t catch up despite a few stretches of unanswered goals. Today’s victory marks Coach Acacia Walker’s 100th win at Boston College as she has taken this team to eliteness.
As usual, BC secured victory with draw control domination and explosive offense. The Eagles won 24 of 33 draw controls today and scored on 21 of their 26 shots on goal. Five separate Eagles recorded hat tricks in the match with Sheila Rietano and Dempsey Arsenault scoring 4 goals apiece and Sam Apuzzo, Cara Urbank and Jenn Medjid each recording a trio. Taylor Walker (2), Kenzie Kent (1) and Maggie Casey (1) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles and Abbey Ngai made 7 saves to keep BC in the game.
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday at 4 on Newton Campus against Albany.
