Final Thoughts and Predictions: Boston College Men’s Basketball Travels to Syracuse

NCAA Basketball: Boston College at Duke Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

After a beatdown loss in Cameron Indoor Stadium, the Boston College Eagles will travel to New York to take on the Syracuse Orange. The Orange came into Conte Forum and took down the Eagles a couple weeks ago, and will be looking to avoid a disastrous loss on their home floor as they move towards the NCAA tournament. The Eagles would love nothing more than to derail one of their rivals from their current path towards the tournament.

Keys to Beating the Panthers

The Orange are led by Elijah Hughes, Tyus Battle, and Oshae Brissett and their infamous 2-3 matchup zone. For the Eagles to win, they’ll need to get Jairus Hamilton and Jordan Chatman in the middle of the zone and look for drive and kicks. If they can limit turnovers and get back on defense, the Eagles may be able to pull off the upset in the Carrier Dome.

Predictions:

Matt: 83-72 Syracuse

Katie: 80-73 Orange

Hoff: 76-70 Cuse
