Women’s lacrosse games between the Boston College Eagles and the Syracuse Orange always have the potential to be exciting, and Saturday afternoon’s matchup in Syracuse turned out to be no exception. The No. 1 Boston College Eagles erased an early five goal deficit to take down No. 10 Syracuse.
The Orange took the lead early in the first half, taking a 7-2 lead before Sam Apuzzo contributed two goals in addition to a late tally by Taylor Walker, sending the Eagles to the locker room down by only two.
The Eagles flourished in the second half, with the Eagles outscoring the Orange 9-5 in the half. The Eagles were also able to hold off a late Orange push in the waning seconds to close out the victory and give the Eagles their second win of the year.
The Eagles travel to Amherst Thursday, Feb. 21 to take on UMass in the Eagles’ second non-conference game of the year.
