Nine Eagles Earn All-ACC Honors

NCAA Football: Boston College at Pittsburgh Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

POSITIVES!!! A slightly delayed announcement, but let’s give it up for the Eagles that made the All-ACC team this season.

For the first team, it was ACC leading rusher, AJ Dillon and guard John Phillips.

Offensive linemen Ben Petrula and Zion Johnson cracked the second team offense, and were joined by linebacker Max Richardson on the defensive team.

Tight end Hunter Long and center Alec Lindstrom made it onto the third team in only their sophomore seasons.

Last but not least, fellow back David Bailey and to round out offensive linemen, freshman Tyler Vrabel were given honorable mention and will surely see their names rise in the coming years.

That’s nine Eagles altogether, including the entire offensive line, and both running backs. That’s quite the accomplishment, and is a testament to how well these guys have played. While defense was clearly our bugaboo this season, it’s great to see Max honored for his standout performances. The two first teamers in Dillon and Phillips will likely not be back next year, but that’s a nice crop of talent that should be on their way back. Congratulations to all!
