Boston College Men’s Basketball Closes Out 2019 With Loss to Duke

The Eagles were very outmatched in their final game of the decade

Boston College men’s basketball closed out the decade tonight with a New Year’s Eve game at #2 Duke. The Eagles were outshot 45-19 in the first half, and couldn’t overcome that deficit in the second. BC ultimately lost the game by a score of 88-49.

Duke completely dominate this game across the board, as outlined below:

Shooting Percentage: Duke 52%, BC 34%

3-Pointer Percentage: Duke 43%, BC 17%

Free Throw Percentage: Duke 67%, BC 36%

Rebounds: Duke 44, BC 34

Assists: Duke 20, BC 8

Turnovers: Duke 15, BC 19

Bench Points: Duke 32, BC 16

Blocks: Duke 7, BC 4

BC did have a slight lead in steals (10-9)

CJ Felder was the only Eagle to score in the double digits, leading the team with 13 points. Felder was also one of a trio of BC players to pick up 6 rebounds (also the team lead).

May 2020 bring better things than this loss.
