The Boston College women’s basketball team has gained a pair of new recruits, with Allison Palmieri and Sydney McQuietor recently announcing their commitments to the school.
Palmieri, a guard in the class of 2021, announced her commitment to Boston College this evening on Twitter. She is in her junior season at Trumbull High School in Trumbull, Connecticut.
As a sophomore, Palmieri averaged 18 points and 7 rebounds per game, which earned her a spot in the Connecticut All-State Game. Palmieri is ranked as the 12th best guard in her class in Connecticut, and is ranked 907th in her position overall. She has consistently been a leader on her high school team, even as an underclassman.
McQuietor is BC’s third recruit for next season, joining Josiah Lacey and 4-star recruit Kaylah Ivey. She announced her commitment at the end of October. McQuietor is a 6’0” post player, which will add some needed height to the Eagles upon Emma Guy’s graduation. A 3-star recruit, she has averaged 10 points and 9 rebounds per game. ESPN described her as having “front court versatility [and] efficient interior game” and as an effective rebounder.
