The Boston College Eagles ACC Tournament run came to a sudden end Monday afternoon in South Bend, Ind. after the Eagles conceded an own goal in double overtime.

The Eagles got out to a strong start in the 24th minute when freshman phenom Stefan Sigurdarson scored from outside the box, giving the Eagles the 1-0 lead going into the half.

However, the tide shifted in the second half, when Ian Aschieris received a cross from Jack Casey, and he headed the ball in, leveling the Irish with the Eagles, ultimately forcing extra time.

In the second period of extra time, Aiden McFadden sent a cross in from the end line. The cross deflected off a BC defender into the BC net, giving the Irish the sudden death victory.
