The first half was quiet on the Heights, ending in no score. Just seven minutes into the second, Olivia Vaugh fires a shot into the back of the net to give the Eagles the lead, with her seventh goal of the season. The Tigers kept their pressure up, and despite some saves by Allie Augur, Mackenzie Smith was able to net the equalizer just six minutes later. A little under twenty minutes left to play, Clemson struck again, with Hal Hershfelt sneaking in a goal from the penalty spot.
Vaugh’s goal was gave her a team-high of nineteen points this season, and a total of 62 career points. She is now ranked fifteenth in the program’s all-time career scoring list. The 1-2 loss to Clemson will wrap up Boston College’s regular season.
